NEW Summer Menu and Terrace Opening at Bamboo Mat Stratford

Our summer terrace is now open for the season and now is the perfect time to visit for the best Nikkei (Peruvian and Japanese) dining. Our restaurant in Stratford East Village, provides a leafy oasis just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Westfield London Stratford.

You can now enjoy delicious new delights on our summer al fresco terrace.  Our new menu is full of mouth-watering sharing platters of Peruvian and Japanese delights, so bring a date or some mates and treat yourself to an authentic Nikkei experience like no other.

Kick off your visit with some indulgent Malden oysters and one of our signature cocktails for an elevated experience from the get-go. Try the floral Yuzu Blossom, with roku gin, sake, yuzu juice and orange bitters or the classically Peruvian Pisco Sour.

Enjoy the new El Crudo platter complete with oysters, salmon tiradito and brand new scallops tiradito, made with mango and passion fruit tiger milk, chive oil, pomegranate and coriander.

Fans of ceviche must try our Ceviche Mix Platter, featuring our renowned seabass ceviche, favourites such as salmon tataki and tuna tiradito and the ultimate ceviche deluxe, with seabass, prawns and scallops in signature sauce.

Also on offer is the new Nikkei sashimi platter, featuring the highest grade quality tuna, yellow tail, seabass, salmon, prawn and mackerel with wasabi egg sauce and shiso ponzu. And the sushi lovers out there can indulge in a sushi spread like no other with Bamboo Mat’s Nikkei sushi platter, featuring a range of nigiri, gunkan, and innovative maki like the Canada Maki – including sea eel, cream cheese, cucumber, avocado and sesame seeds.

And if you’re a regular, do not worry. Our full range of food favourites – from tiraditos and tostadas to ceviche and sushi – are still be available on our la carte menu.

Every Friday and Saturday night DJs will liven up our terrace to get you in the mood for the weekend from 5pm onwards.

We’ve also extended our Happy Hour, now running every Monday to Thursday from 5pm-7pm. Diners are offered a selection of complimentary small plates with each cocktail purchased. Expect delights such as Cancha Corn, Padron Peppers with a Mango Miso and freshly made Guacamole and Fried Tortilla to pair alongside one the menu of unique fusion cocktails.
